Hello! I'm Dave Garski. I am a private in-your-home guitar and bass guitar instructor. I instruct beginner and intermediate students. I have been an instructor in the Orlando and Central Florida area since 1996.

Are you a beginner or intermediate guitar player searching for a guitar teacher who will come to your home to give you weekly lessons on how to become a better guitar player? Maybe your teenager wants to learn how to play the guitar. Maybe you're not really interested in driving to a music store or dealing with traffic and weather. Maybe you're an adult and you just want to get better at being able to play more songs. You just want one-on-one lessons with a real teacher. Believe me, I get it. Over the 28+ years that I have been teaching guitar and bass guitar lessons to my students in the Orlando and Central Florida area, many of them have told me just how much they really enjoy having their lessons done in their home instead of at music store or anywhere else. They enjoy the convenience of being able to have their lessons done at a day and time that fits their busy schedule.

My private, personal guitar lessons in your home, eliminates the hassle of dealing with music stores having limited days and times available that only suit their schedule and not yours. This hassle can be somewhat deterring for most beginner students, and can cause a new student to have second thoughts about taking lessons altogether. To be fair, some music stores do what they can to schedule your lessons to fit your busy day, but almost all music stores charge a lot of arbitrary fees for you to take lessons at their facilities. This is where quantity versus quality can be applied. First of all, I don't charge fees for your lessons. Everything about your lessons is made in one monthly payment.

I have a limited amount of students scheduled each week, which affords a much more personal interaction with my students. I do my absolute best to help you get the day and the time you want to schedule your weekly guitar lesson. Because I travel all over Central Florida, I sometimes need to schedule my lessons logistically, but I will do everything I can to accommodate getting you scheduled for your lessons. I do have a cancellation policy which you can read here. If you have any questions about this policy, please feel free to ask. I have instructed hundreds of guitar and bass guitar students, and I am an experienced instructor who will approach your lessons to help you meet your goals as a guitar student. Each student learns at his/her own speed and level. I take this into consideration for every lesson. I want you to enjoy your lessons while you learn how to play your guitar. There are no contracts to sign or application fees, etc.

A little bit about my in-home guitar lessons.

All lessons are done in the comfort and privacy of the home or office of the student. Lessons are normally scheduled once each week and are 60-minutes. Trial lessons are available upon request. Monthly (4) lessons are available. Six (6), Eight (8) and Ten (10) lesson packages are also available at a discounted rate. Instructions include learning how to practice and play the acoustic guitar, the electric guitar and the bass guitar. Right-handed and left-handed students are accepted. Please read and understand the cancellation policy provided here. All payments for lessons must be paid through Zelle on or before the beginning of each lesson series. Continuation of lessons will require a payment for the next series of lessons on or before the last lesson of each prepaid series. This will ensure that the student will not forfeit his/her lesson day and time because of non-payment. All students are required to practice all weekly lessons accordingly given by the instructor. Lessons include but are not limited to the following: Building your chord vocabulary, learning practicing techniques, learning how to play your favorite songs, learning how to write your own songs, basic understanding of music theory applied to the guitar or bass guitar, improvisation and creative approach to learning scales and melodies and tuning and maintenance of your guitar, including how to change your strings. Weekly scheduling of students is done on a first come, first serve basis and logistical availability. Each student is required to have and maintain a playable instrument for his/her lessons and provide a quiet seating area for the lessons.
